The Weinstein Company is the former name of Lantern Entertainment, an American independent film studio. Originally founded in 2005 in New York City by Bob and Harvey Weinstein, TWC was one of the largest mini-major film studios in America. In 2016, TWC handled international distribution and sales of The Jumping Ground Movie

In early 2018, following sexual misconduct allegations concerning co-founder Harvey Weinstein in late 2017, the firm ran into financial troubles and eventually filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy after the collapse of a buyout deal with a group of investors led by former Small Business Administration head under then-U.S. President Barack Obama, Maria Conteras-Sweet. Investment firm Lantern Capital later emerged as the winner of the studio's bankruptcy auction, and the studio was later renamed Lantern Entertainment.
